1) Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of this website and related online services (the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2) Not for emergencies; crisis resources

Do not use the Services for emergencies. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911. If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, call or text 988.

3) Medical information disclaimer

Content on the Services is provided for general informational purposes only and is not medical advice. Using the Services does not create a provider-patient relationship. Do not disregard professional medical advice because of information you read on the Services.

4) Telehealth note

If we offer telehealth services, telehealth may have unique risks (for example, technical interruptions, privacy considerations, and limits of remote assessment). Telehealth services may require additional consents and may be provided through third-party platforms subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

5) Patient portal and third-party platforms

We may provide access to certain services through a patient portal or other third-party platforms (for example, intake forms, scheduling, secure messaging, payments, or telehealth/video visits). Those platforms may have their own terms and privacy practices, which apply to your use of them.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

6) Communications and electronic consent

By providing your contact information (including phone number and email) and contacting us through the Services, you consent to receive communications from us related to your inquiry, scheduling, intake/admissions, care coordination, and administrative messages. Communications may occur by phone call, voicemail, email, and text message (SMS), including through automated technology where permitted.

You can withdraw consent to receive certain communications at any time (for example, by replying STOP to SMS). However, withdrawing consent may limit our ability to communicate with you about services you request.

7) SMS / Text Messaging Terms

If you opt in to receive text messages from Serenity Grove Mental Health, the following apply:

  • Message types: appointment reminders, intake/admissions follow-ups, care coordination and administrative messages, and (if you opt in) marketing/promotional messages.
  • Message frequency: varies based on your interactions and preferences.
  • Costs: message and data rates may apply.
  • Opt out: reply STOP to unsubscribe. You may receive one final confirmation message.
  • Help: reply HELP, or call 888.448.6861.
  • Carrier note: carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

SMS communications are also subject to our Privacy Policy. If you become a patient, certain information may be protected under HIPAA and other healthcare privacy laws; see our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices + Patient Notices.

8) Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Services. For example, you will not:

  • Violate any law or regulation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, accounts, or systems.
  • Interfere with the security or operation of the Services.

You may use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or exploit any part of the Services without prior written permission.

10) Third-party links

The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices. Access third-party sites at your own risk.

11) Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

13) Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
