Dr. Delquis Mendoza

Dr. Delquis Mendoza, MD, ABPN, APRN is a board‑certified psychiatrist dedicated to helping individuals recover from mental health, substance use, and emotional challenges. His long‑standing vision has been to provide compassionate, evidence‑based care to people facing severe and complex conditions. 

Dr. Mendoza is licensed in Washington State, as well as Georgia and integrates CBT, interpersonal therapy, supportive therapy, and psychodynamic approaches into his work. Known for his professionalism, warmth, and approachable style, he values humility, compassion, and understanding. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, watching sports, walking, and focusing on healthy, nutritious living.

Cam Moore

Cam Moore has worked in addiction treatment since 2019, drawing on lived experience and a deep understanding of how substance use affects individuals, families, and communities. A pivotal moment came while supporting a close friend through addiction, which strengthened Cam’s belief in compassion, community, and individualized care. 

Cam uses Motivational Interviewing and experiential approaches and builds trust through authenticity, empathy, and transparency. A strong commitment to helping people shift their perspectives continues to guide Cam’s work. Outside the office, Cam enjoys spending time outdoors with loved ones and cycling.

Rob DeMersseman

Rob DeMersseman, BS,  brings more than ten years of experience in addiction treatment and eight years in social work to his role at Serenity Grove. His own family history with addiction and mental health inspired him to learn, heal, and support others facing similar challenges. 

Rob holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and uses CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and peer‑support models in his work. He is especially passionate about helping individuals and families navigate codependency, trauma, and relationship dynamics. Outside of work, Rob enjoys pickleball, exercise, volunteering, and cheering on Georgia sports.

Michaela Smith

Michaela Smith, MSW has worked in addiction treatment since 2020, driven by a commitment to challenge the stigma that labels mental health and substance use struggles as criminal behavior rather than medical conditions. She holds a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and a Master of Social Work. 

Michaela is trained in LS/CMI, Moral Reconation Therapy, CBT, DBT, and trauma‑informed, strengths‑based care. Areas of focus for her include treating anxiety, addiction, trauma, anger, and major life transitions. A two‑time University of Georgia graduate and Phi Alpha Honor Society member, she is known for his honesty, humor, and down‑to‑earth approach.

Kimberly Abuajah

Kimberly Abuajah, MSN, APRN, PMHNP‑BC specializes in compassionate, trauma‑informed psychiatric care rooted in both personal insight and extensive clinical experience. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing and is a board‑certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and licensed APRN in Georgia. 

Kimberly has worked in emergency psychiatry, crisis stabilization, behavioral health, and community mental health. She integrates CBT, Motivational Interviewing, supportive psychotherapy, and mind‑body approaches to help clients heal and regain a sense of control. Outside of work, Kimberly enjoys creating art, cooking, skating outdoors, watching anime, and spending time with her toddler.

Michael S. Buah

Michael S. Buah, MS, NCC began his career in community mental health, where he saw how closely substance use and mental health challenges are connected. His internship work deepened that understanding and inspired him to support clients in both areas. 

Michael holds a BS in Psychology and an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and he is a National Certified Counselor and ACA member. He specializes in Person‑Centered and CBT approaches and believes in meeting each client exactly where they are. In his free time, Michael enjoys video games, reading, playing instruments, producing music, walking, and visiting friends.

Nate Bosway

Nate Bosway, NCC, MS, CMHC, BS discovered his passion for behavioral health by accident while completing clinical hours at a recovery IOP, where he quickly connected with individuals facing addiction and serious mental illness. That experience reshaped his understanding of the link between mental health and substance use and inspired his career path. Nate holds a BS in Psychology and Neuroscience from Miami University and an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest. He integrates CBT and existential approaches to help clients build meaning, purpose, and personal agency. Outside of work, he enjoys gaming, horror and fantasy media, anime, and spending time with his husband and their pets.
